Implements a hardware-dependent code that communicate with a connected remote device.

Parameters

Event wclAutoResetEvent: The connection termination (disconnection) event.

Return Value

Int32
If the method completed with success the return value is WCL_E_SUCCESS. Otherwise the method returns one of the WCL error codes.

Remarks

Derived classes must override this method to implement a hardware-dependent code that exchanges data with a remote device.

The method executes in a separate thread.

The method implementation must monitor the Event object. The Event is signaled if the Disconnect method was called and the method must terminate communication and exit.

The default implementation simple waits for the Event and exists when the event signals.
